Section and Target Groups

The competition is structured on two sections and education levels, according to the students’ age, reading competences and the international standards in use.

  1. The coaching section is intended to students aged 13 to 15 aims to assess reading and cultural awareness skills.
  2. The proficiency section aims at students aged 15 to 19 and assesses reading, media and communication skills.
  • Level 1 – coaching – 7th – 8th grades (students aged 13 – 15)
  • Level 2 – proficiency – 9th – 10th grades (students aged 15 – 17)
  • Level 3 – proficiency – 11th – 12th grades (students aged 17 – 19)

It is opened to the above-mentioned categories of students who:

  • study World Literature formally (as part of compulsory/elective curriculum) or non-formally (Literature Clubs);
  • fill in the application form and send it to the organizers by 1st of July 2018;
  • have the application approved of by the organizers.

Participation

  • Each country can be represented by a delegation made up of 6 students (one/each grade – the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade). The students enroll the category/level according to the grade they have just graduated.
  • Each delegation must be coordinated and accompanied by one teacher.
